Hummingsong Choirs is having its huge fundraising concert ‘Songs of Soul’ on November 5 and is gunning for more corporate sponsors to help raise money for cash-strapped Sydney’s women’s refuges.
The six individual choirs from Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore which make up the 350-strong Hummingsong choir, is singing a variety of contemporary and popular classic pieces for the Chatswood Concourse concert together, with TV’s The Voice finalist and Gold album singer Darren Percival.
“We’re looking for corporate sponsors to contribute funds as part of our fundraising goals for 2016 raising money for impoverished women’s refuges,” said Choir Director Anna Humberstone.
“And a highlight for any sponsor is our top level of sponsorship which includes a corporate wellbeing and team building singing workshop tailored to the needs of your organisation.”
Over the last four years Hummingsong has raised over $78,000 for women’s’ refuges from its concerts, the money paying for creative art therapy programs, refuge renovations and operating costs.
There are various sponsorship levels and the option to make a tax deductible donation – call Choir Director Anna Humbertsone for more information on 0433 024 354.
Tickets for the concert were due to go on sale at the end of August from the Chatswood Concourse box office.
