Ku ring gai Council is hosting another free event where residents can ‘speed date’ an expert for sustainability advice on their renovation or building project.
The speed dating event, targeted at anyone planning to renovate, rebuild or make home or garden improvements, is being held at Ku-ring-gai Town Hall in Pymble on Saturday 22 October.
Residents are invited to book free 20-minute ‘dates’ for advice from some of Australia’s leading experts on sustainable architecture, energy efficiency, solar power and battery storage, natural building techniques, productive and sustainable gardens, green walls and building in a bushfire zone.
The event aims to demystify and explain the best options for making homes more cost-effective and energy efficient to run, more comfortable and more in harmony with natural surroundings. Renovators are advised to bring plans and drawings with them to get the best advice.
Following the popularity of last year’s Speed Date a Sustainability Expert with 88% of those attending rating it highly, Council is advising those interested to book early via www.kmc.nsw.gov.au/speeddate or call 9424 0893.
