Seniors invited to tell tales

Baby Boomers are being asked to talk about their lives for a new oral history exhibition, the ‘Tell Your Story’ project, designed to preserve 20th century history, highlight changes in our community and give a lasting snapshot for future generations.

Gordon Library staff will record seniors’ memories on video from March 6 to 10, in 30 minutes sessions where people will be asked how they came to live in the area, what they have done in their lifetime, and what aspects of the local area they want to preserve.

The filmed interviews will be used for the upcoming exhibition and preserved with the library’s historical collection. To take part, call Gordon Library on 9424 0120 by 3 March.
