On Wednesday 7th November, 2018 Mt Wilga Private Hospital held their 65th Anniversary Open Day. The hospital was open to the public with tours and information stands as well as a formal afternoon tea with VIP guests from the community. Mt Wilga welcomed as their keynote speaker, Australian Sergeant and Invictus Games multi-medallist, Garry Robinson, a former patient who told his story and how Mt Wilga has helped his recovery. Julian Leeser, Federal MP of Berowra also attended and conducted the unveiling of the plaque for the re-naming of the Eileen Perrottet Therapy and Wellness Centre. This memorable event honours Miss Perrottet, former physiotherapist of Mt Wilga who was instrumental in the development of the Paralympic movement in Australia. She joins others recognised for their role in bringing sport as part of rehabilitation, including Dr John Grant and Mr Kevin Betts. Mt Wilga would like to thank all guests who attended the 65th Anniversary; it was a very special day!
