On 7th November Mt Wilga Private Hospital will be celebrating its 65th anniversary of a provider of rehabilitation services to the people of Hornsby and surrounding areas. The hospital open day will celebrate Mt Wilga’s history after its establishment in 1953 by the Commonwealth Government to provide rehabilitation to men and women with permanent disability. Today it continues to build on its long and proud history of restoring strength and promoting recovery to those experiencing injury, illness or disability.
Mt Wilga’s CEO Lorrie Mohsen said “From inpatient rehabilitation to our day therapy and community based therapy services, Mt Wilga has continued to respond and grow to the ever changing needs and lives of our patients. With private hospital insurance covering the costs of many of the rehabilitation services we provide, it enables patients to have access to the supports they need, when they need it the most” The open day commences at 10am with a series of tours and presentations running throughout the day.
