Beecroft Rugby Club has received $125,000 of Federal Government Funding. The funding will be used to construct a second level on the existing clubhouse to upgrade the change rooms, the referee rooms, and the toilets.
Federal Member for Berowra, Julian Leeser MP, brought Senator the Hon Bridget McKenzie,
Minister for Sport, to Headen Park to make the funding announcement. Beecroft Rugby Club President, Ben Ashwood and longstanding members were at the announcement.
“Our club could not be more excited about our funding being approved. We want to grow the game in the women’s sevens and Under 21s men’s divisions.
But we need better facilities to accommodate everyone. This funding will help us continue to deliver for our members and their families,” said Mr Ashwood.
Beecroft Rugby Club has over 120 players, playing in the senior club. They play in four senior grade teams and one under-21 Colts team. BRC’s junior club, the Northern Barbarians, has over 300 active players.
